Wow, I had to stop reading the Davis rant about halfway through because I was almost choking with my efforts to stop myself from screaming at the screen. His essential argument seems to be "we don't mean to be sexist therefore we aren't." Isn't it nice that they can decide these things for us, sparing us the effort of having to actually feel offense or frustration?

For people that make a living via the written word they do such a piss poor job of defending themselves (not that it's defensible) it's embarrassing.

Can't really complain about the chain-mail bikini though. I'm kinda hooked on urban fantasy romances & a good 2/3rds of those have some guy showing off six-pack abs & low slung jeans on the covers. In fact that's usually all you see, they tend to place the poor guys face out of frame.
