Yes, Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster is troubled by the fact that "dozens of black people" voted in rural areas this year, which he sees as problematic because "nobody" in those towns "knows anyone who's black." Asked to identify which towns, the state GOP official refused

As long as the Repugnant Party keeps encouraging these racists to come out from under their slime-covered rocks, they've secured the vote for nearly all minorities for the Democrats.

On the other hand, what a disgusting piece of shit this man is.

And he seems to have no clue that anything he's saying could be in any way offensive. The pig was obviously raised in a barn.

Yes, the Republicans keep courting the racists, and using their coded language -- btw, dudes, deny it all you want, but we all know what you're saying -- and fear-mongering. I am related to some of these people, unfortunately. They only listen to Fox and Rush, and think they're well-informed because they can spout off those talking points. Uh, no, dear.

I'll happily stand next to you, handing you those pies.

I am constructing a specially-designed trebuchet for the occasion. If only a homing device existed to target right-wing wackadoos. I would hate to waste pie.

On the up side, I thing that the one thing the election proved is that this country is not nearly as uniracial, patriarchal or heteronormative as the GOP would like to believe.

I try to hang on to that when, for example NPR does a story about the Republican Governors Convention, wherein all the GOP governors are explaining why Romney lost. Which is either rage-inducing or hysterically funny for how completely they DON'T GET IT. I'm leaning towards hysterically funny at the moment.
