  • So, unless things change, by which I mean I get an amazing bunny or something, I'm not planning on doing NaNoWriMo this year.
  • The thing is, on the one hand: 'you won last year, what do you mean you're not going to try again it this year? Haven't you ever heard of momentum?' But the other hand is: 'hey, remember how you won NaNo last year? Whatever ( Read more... )

Yay, glad you still like Petya. :D This will, hopefully, not be as absurd, although the series has tentatively titled itself Multitudes, which may prove ominous. Duv is being very compelling to me, too, which might just be a factor of the fact that I stole this plot from Memory: as in Memory, Duv's the character that matters to the plot, Laisa's just a side character or barely even that, she's sort of an afterthought. (Someone should totally rewrite Memory where Laisa is the one who saves Duv and does the Miles work of it all.)

I would definitely read All the Fics the way you've described them. No such thing as too much Duv, and I love Laisa, and it would just be so neat to see more from the Komarran and prole-Barrayan perspectives (I think there are a whole lot of novels set on Komarr just asking to be written). And more stuff that I'd love to read that I won't repeat because it would be your whole post, or nearly. Waiting hopefully.

Yes! There is so much about Komarr and about Komarrans, and there are more questions than answers. And more proles! There is so much that can be done with them, especially prole/Komarran interaction. And then they get together and have the Inevitable Revolution What about Komarrans who went to Barrayar before the Cetagandan war, what about Komarrans who have been living on Barrayar for generations by this point, what about Barrayarans who have happily moved to Komarr, what about the fact that Cetaganda didn't bother to conquer Komarr before invading Barrayar, leading to what must have been major security problems and supply chain headaches (I envision Xav merrily running around Komarran spacestations under the Cetagandans noses), basically: what about everything?

There should be ALL THE FIC. *nods*
