It may well mean the same thing in Japan as the US. I know that male chickens are referenced as penis analogs in Bali.

I'm 80% sure it isn't.

But then again, I don't think I'd even know all the penis words in English, so really I have no chance in Japanese.

Oh my god that's hilarious! The poor boy!

Don't worry about getting fired for teaching your kids bad words. I randomly cuss all the time in front of mine (inadvertently, of course) and I kept my last job for four years >_> And they learned lots of useful phrases to use in times of frustration!
