My dad bought me a Windows XP home edition off Ebay for cheaps. Now, here's my problem: Install it onto my old, crappy, Windows ME'd computer which doesn't do all that well anyway, OR, save it for the new computer that I will supposedly be building sometime in the near future (which has not yet even gotten into the planning stages, alas ( Read more... )

you can do both. install it on your old machine and then when you upgrade format your other computer and reinstall xp (legally)

Illegally keep both installed.

why are you paying for xp?
i have restore disks if you have a dvd drive

eh restore disks never work right, fresh xp is the best way to go

this IS fresh xp, mr guy.
it uses a vlk.
i just call it a restore disk for ease of reference
