The Basque people remind me of Hobbits. Secluded in their little villages in the Pyrenees for a long time, only making minor interjections into the "real" history of the world. Simple, farming people. It makes me glad. :)

Went to see Zoso last night!!! They sound amazingly like the Led, I was very impressed. They put on a really good show. Electric Ladyland (a Hendrix tribute band) opened for them and they weren't bad either. Great night.

I am reading a book by Thomas Friedman: The Lexus and the Olive Tree. I remember a Scholars event that I went to sometime last spring about the banning of head scarves (a Muslim thing) in France. So this has been a pretty awesome break. I went to LA for a great week with family. I got my 8-year-old cousin a football and we ended up having a family football game of sorts.
