I'll try to sum up my thoughts on SYTYCD as simply as I can. If the best dancer is truly to be the winner, they need to stop saying they're looking for America's favorite dancer. To me, favorite implies popularity contest and usually whomever has the biggest fan base wins. That's how Evan has gotten to where he is today. He's obviously not the most versatile dancer, but until these reality shows stop being popularity contests, kids like Evan are going to keep advancing.
In the same light though, people need to stop bashing him. It's not like he runs to the phone after he's done dancing and calls in all of his votes.

I feel the same way about SYTYCD. I don't get how people can say that he doesn't deserve to be there, when popular opinion (i.e. the driving force behind determining a winner) suggests otherwise. The bashing is really over the top too.
