I often read a lot of negative comments about Tyce Diorio's choreography for So You Think You Can Dance, but I really loved this:

For me it was a perfect combination of music, lighting, costumes, and dancing - even though, if I understand correctly, Tyce translated the song more literally into dance than the lyrics are actually meant to be taken. His piece, his vision, his prerogative. I think it is a most beautiful sort of melancholy. Evan makes a lovely sad clown. I suspect that he may be slightly in over his head when it comes to the final four, but I won't go so far as to say that he doesn't belong there. The title is "America's Favourite Dancer", and he has earned America's love; ergo, he deserves to be there. I am concerned that his making it so far this season will hurt his brother Ryan's chances of making top 20 for season six. This is grassy knoll-ish of me, but I suspect that the judges wanted Evan gone weeks ago.

Go Jeanine!

I find myself writing again - ( the project I just can't quit), and, in a most astonishing turn of events, it is not taking ten tries for me to get a paragraph I like. It is really strange how I'm writing this story, though - episodes at a time, and in no particular order. In the end, if I don't give up before then, I'll have to assemble it all like a giant puzzle of words. Sometimes I like to create soundtracks for the stories I make up. I made one for this one, in hopes of inspiration. Gosh, I always feel so lame, vague, and pretentious talking about writing.

I am super excited for The Fantastic Mr. Fox, if only because I have been eagerly anticipating a new Wes Anderson film for what feels like forever. Plus, Bill Murray providing the voice for a badger is somehow perfect. Or maybe I just love Bill Murray no matter what. And Jason Schwartzman. I've never actually read the book, but I know enough to know that Roald Dahl was something of a genius of children's literature, so I should probably get on that one of these days.

A mad headache has been chasing me down all night long, so I should probably be off to bed, off to bed. ♫

ETA: Actually, one last thing. My daughter loves Cookie Monster, so I found the C is for Cookie song for her today, and we were dancing and singing along. Okay, only I was singing, but we were both dancing. Have you ever noticed that Cookie Monster is a total trip? He should have his own show.
