Every time I see photos like this I despair of the present style.
Or rather, lack of. Somehow I just don't see our descendant's looking
back and saying "Wow, look at those great clothes they wore in the
two thousand oughts!!"

Unfortunately very few of could afford these clothes in their modern equivalents.

A Prada bag would extravagance for me let alone a wardrobe!

They cost about as much now vs then they simply don't have the craft or workmanship. It's the name you're buying.
