Theme Challenge

Okay, from the last post people seem to favor the Theme Challenge.

Here’s how the Theme Challenge works. I’ll give you a theme (a statement, by my definition), and you have 3 months (starting now) to come up with a fanfiction that has at least 1500 words or more.

Also, Rufus and Cloud must be the central characters of the fanfiction (though, considering that this is a Rufus/Cloud community, that should be obvious). Also, in the fanfiction itself, Rufus and Cloud do not have to be paired up; they can be friends, enemies, lovers, etc.

When the time is up, I’ll determine the winner by posting a poll, in which people can vote the fanfiction they like the best. Each person’s vote counts as 1 point, but the challenger’s vote counts as 3 points. This way, it’ll be easy for me to determine who is the winner in case there is a tie.

The reward for the winner? You get to be the challenger and pick the next theme. Not only that, you get to request a fanfiction from me. Just give me the pairing, the theme, and I’ll write you a 1500+ words one-shot. (The fandom should be obvious though, it has to be in ff7. XD)

If a tie occurs anyway, the winners can request a fanfiction from me by stating the pairing and the theme, but the words of the fanfictions will depend on how many people have the same points. For example, if there is a tie between two people, I’ll write two fanfictions, but instead of 1500+ words each, it will be split up so it will be 750+ words each.

Also, if only 1 person or less (Lol!) enters the Theme Challenge, and nobody else, then I will have to cancel the Theme Challenge and I’ll probably try doing this again when we have more people and participants in the community.

Regarding fan-art, there will be a separate challenge for that later on, so hang in there, artists!

You also have to follow a specific format for the Theme Challenge (to make it easier for me and the challenge itself):

Title:
Author:
Rating:
Disclaimer:
Theme:
Summary:
A/n:

Also, on the header, you must put “Theme Challenge” and the theme itself (again to make it easy for myself to organize it).

I know it’s a lot of rules, (Gah, I don’t like rules either -_-;;) but that’s all for the sake of organization.

Anyway, here’s the theme:

“In order to remember you have to forget.”

As a reminder, the Deadline is July 5, 2007.
