I guess I didn't get the memo where it became selfish to want to make friends. I guess that every kid in school and basically everybody in the world is by proxy selfish.
i have no desire to seek out the frienships of people that hurt my friends. i expect people that claim to care about me to be on the same page becuase i have some self respect. you took me off your friends list so stay the fuck out of my journal. i was in no way talking to you.
You don't have to seek out those friendships, but to say that someone is SELFISH by expanding their circle of friends is absurd. It's not some sort of personal vendetta against you, if anyone else had said that same thing (though I don't think anyone could quite do it as perfectly) I would have done the same thing. People need to get the fuck over themselves.
You know, the whole situation is a lot more cut and dry than you'd like to think. It's not like we're discussing string theory or astrophysics. I get that you're upset. And I get why. And you know what? I understand why you made the post you did probably more than you realize. You underestimate me as a whole-- but I have a lot more understanding, common sense, logic, compassion, empathy and a whole laundry list of other shit that you've kind of just decided I don't have. Why is neither here nor there, though.
The point of what I'm saying is that when you make broad generalizations, such as your post earlier, you open yourself up for criticism. If you can't take criticism (and I don't mean criticism of your character, just your saying) for whatever reason, then maybe you shouldn't write such vitriolic, hateful bullshit in a public forum.
