It is good to have a Plan! Sounds encouraging. :)

There are lots of temp agencies here . . . I interviewed at a couple, but then I found this job, so I didn't get the full experience. I did like my very brief experience with Monument Staffing, for what that's worth. They were friendly and encouraging, anyway, and seemed promising (I just didn't get to use them).

What sort of job do you think you might be looking for? I mean, I was aiming exclusively at Administrative Assistant type work. (I hit up all the local colleges/universities; they all have their own individual hiring websites.)

Not sure if this is really the kind of work I'd be looking for, as I don't really have any experience with administrative work. Ever hear of any temp agencies out there that do science/technical jobs? If not don't worry, just thought I'd ask. Of course, if that doesn't happen, I'd take working in a store or something basic like that, but it seems like it's hard to find those jobs unless you are actually there to look.

Ok, advice from my friend: theschimmel April 14 2008, 21:21:19 UTC
she used Climstaffing Group - she said they were great but she isn't sure if her contact is still there - she also had another friend who used someone else at the same place with similar results.

Be aware of the commission! they'll take a portion of your salary if you get hired.

yeah, I probably have more to add to this so I will try to call you in the next couple of days

Thanks! Good to have multiple options; I'm currently pursuing a temporary position at a biotech company, but if that doesn't work it will be good to have something to fall back on.
