i am so sorry to hear about your son. he does face a hard road ahead, but it sounds like he has the support of some wonderful people who love him. and yes, you have to be strong for him, but you also have to remember to take care of yourself. you can't do anything for anyone when you empty yourself out.
i say, let yourself feel your emotions tonight. go with it, laugh, cry, root for the bad guy, let it all hang out! be a big girl again tomorrow.
please keep us posted on what's going on with you. this is a wonderful community of really caring people. take advantage of us! :)
Darling Joan, no one knows what each of us carry in our day to day RL, that's why being here for each other has been so important.
I'm happy that your entire family is going to TDK and I think you are so very brave, both for facing Heath's last completed film, and for facing down cancer with your son. Hang in there, lean on me, on us whenever you need to . . we're here.
Perhaps yes. Perhaps each of our Lives are about to change again. It's a frightening proposition but we cannot hold back change.
I fear that crying that bursts the dam, but some think it is therapeutic . . you have to do what feels best for you.

Judy,
I couldn't write about it before now, but your words and the offer of your hand and a place to lean... well, that was so special.
CJ is fine now- cancer free. In the past four months he has gone through three rounds of chemo, I got a new job, my hubby started qa new business, my best friend dies at 45 of liver problems, my uncle ( the last one) passed away, two weeks ago i had knee surgery, and tonight I had to put my 14 year old Shepherd Collie, Bradley, to sleep. ( There's a pic in my gallery.)
So I'm leaning, hon, and grabbing on to that hand, and keeping on keeping on.
Thanks, Blues, it has been a hell of a year, but mostly has turned out okay. I'm sad about my dog tonight, so I'm here at LJ where people have hearts and know the value of friendship.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. They helped.
