Anyone who thinks Hollywood is run by a liberal cabal won't change his mind after watching The Simpsons' annual Halloween special. That reminds of the way they ripped on Jr's Dad. Senior said something about how America needed more families like the Waltons instead of the Simpsons. They shot back by having that sound bite in their show with Bart saying, "We're the same. We're all just waiting for the depression to end."

Yeah, I think the Iraq line is clubbing people over the head with their point. It's interesting to see The Simpsons doing something like that though, I've found South Park generally satisfies my need for satirical cartoons. I don't know if you watch it, but they are some of the most pointed satire on TV. They still have the occasionally silly/gross episode, but there is a lot of genius satire.

It is pure genius. I thought it was gross for the longest time, but in the last few years I started to "get it."
