I expected this turn of events from the first time Dean woke up with a nightmare but it was still so painful. ;_;
At least he has Cas, I knew he wouldn't lose him over this.

I know, it was painful to write. I made myself cry. I always felt like something similar happened to Dean in Hell though. Just the way Alistair was with him. Ugh.

But of course Cas wouldn't leave him! Dean was the only one who would ever think he might.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry I made you cry. I always felt like Dean had gone through something similar in Hell, just from the way Alistair behaved towards him. Still, it was a really difficult thing to write about and I was so afraid of making it seem gratuitous. I'm glad you felt I handled it well.

Fiction wise, you did a really wonderful job of capturing Dean's feelings, and Cas reacted beautifully as well. Reality wise, I don't feel that you will have offended anyone. You handled it sensitively and with understanding and this is a wonderful chapter.

Thank you so much! I've been really worried about it. I wanted to create a Dean who was still extremely troubled and in need of saving, despite the fact that he has a normal, happy life. I'm glad it makes sense now, even though it was really painful to write about :/
