AU has a broad variety of meanings. I don't think stall!sex (which, umm, YUM) post Reg's death would be AU, but if the boys meet at WOAK and Noah is the gay one and Luke is thinking he might be straight or pretending to be or what have you, that could make it AU.

If you don't mind PMing me, i'll give you my opinion, or I would ask Moey/Che about it. See who determines what is/isn't AU.

You mean PM the fic I'm talking about? I can do that. Because it's tagged AU on the comm but I just don't think that it is. But maybe I'm wrong. I mean totally wouldn't be the first time, ha!

yeah, PM me the link to the fic. If more than one of us think it's tagged wrong, we can take it to higher authorities :)

I tag anything AU when someone says it's AU, even if I don't read the fic. It'd be so much easier if people tagged their own shit though.

*sigh*

umm, also, Indigo and I wrote almost the same story once, except the setting. And we totally didn't mean to, and they were both different so it worked well. Plus, the remixes that the hayloft got were incredible. seriously incredible. AND if that weren't enough, your words are your own form of expression, and there is so much poetry to the way you write (like ronnie or laura) that i don't think you have anything to worry about it. it would be gorgeous and wonderful and SERIOUSLY appreciated by many.

Ah, see they must be completely different because I know I've read everything you both have written and I can't place those! So, you're right. It all comes across differently in the end. I think sometimes it's just hard to get out of my head a bit. Esp. because I overanalyze everything in RL as well.

But thanks for the kinda words. Means a whole bunch. *hugs*

yeah, i don't think anyone noticed but me. it comes with the pleasure of pre-reading for the hayloft. :)

but if you look, we both have stories that involve raspberry lube and rim jobs.

that is not a sentence i thought i would ever be writing in my life.

I really think that a lot of the writers in this fandom (or at least my favs :DDD ) have their own style, and like I'm pretty sure Monday was trying to say, I feel like the way you write sets your stories apart anyway. Even if they did have similar themes or aspects to other stories ( ... )

It's probably not nearly as alike as you think, anyway.

Yeah, I know that's prob. totally true actually. I just get something in my head and it's just hard to get over it sometimes.

And I have a really, reeeeeaaaaaaallly hard time getting over that, and feeling like my stuff is good despite it not being the newest or most different thing I'd ever seen. 'Tis why my stuff is so few and far between. I can only manage to actually show something to people if I feel like it's different enough or good enough.

THIS. This whole thing is why you are one of my favorites. That's exactly how I'm feeling. But I do realize that I just need to write what comes and stop worrying so much about everything. But gosh darn it that's hard! So you do more and I'll do more, deal? Hee. :P

Thanks for all the words though. Totally helped to hear. ♥

Monday/Sara already covered it so well and you know how I feel about the similar topic topic. :P *hugs* ♥

And now I'm curious which non-AU AU fic you mean. Is it the down by the lake one by Rachel? But that didn't really mention WOAK, did it?

Sometimes categories confuse me too. *hugs*

Heeee. I know, and thanks again! *hugshugshugs*

Nope, not that one. But I'll PM it to you. Actually it would be good to hear what you think as well!

So I am a greedy greedy person and just want to see anything you write, but I will try not to be biased by that and say something actually somewhat useful instead, since get over it and post! probably isn't so helpful. *sheepish ( ... )
