having personally survived not one but two heart surgeries, I can say that modern medicine has come far in the field of cardio-thorasic surgery. Unless your mother has some crazy weird thing or like a ultra bad condition, she'll probably be okay and bounce back in a few months. If you wanted to talk about any of it with me I'd be happy to offer a shoulder and a sympathetic ear.
