It was annoying with the bonus of being embarrassing to know that everyone in my contacts got that email from my account. And Hotmail's response even after I did (in the end it was 4 virus scans including using my husband's company's anti-virus software - there's something to be said about being friends with the president of the company) virus scans on my computer, "Well you must have a trojan because there is no way Hotmail itself was hacked."

Yeah, okay. And what color is the sky in your world Hotmail?

It doesn't surprise me that they would say something like that. They are worried about being sued over it
