Gerard had come in that morning, having booked a room for the night for himself. Of course he was excited to see his little sister, because she was his little sister!
He had had a small drink at the Hogs Head while seeing if there was anyone that would give any other information, which there wasn't, before heading out. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he walked towards the center of the village cheerfully.
Pearline saw a lone figure walking towards the center of the villiage, and her face broke out into a wide grin. It was Ger! She hadn't seen him since Christmas Hols obviously, and due to his....work she never knew when he'd be available. He'll he'd been gone all summer, so christmas was the first time she had seen him in a year! So it wasnt nearly enough time to have spent with him as she would of liked.
She had even dressed nice for the occasion. Not too nice, since she knew when he looked at her he still wanted to see his little sister and not a woman. Well...as much of a woman as one can be at 14 atleast.
Smoothing out her trendy wizarding robes, she grined and approached him with a smile. "Excuse me sir? Have you seen my Valentines Day date? He's extremely handsome and rougishly good looking"
Gerard held his smile as Pearline approached, and stopped when he came up to her. Putting on a puzzled look, he shrugged, "Well miss, I'm sorry but the only one I know who compares to that would be me. So you're in a bit of a predicament."
But his smile broke through then and he pulled her into a hug, "It's good to see you Pear."
Pearline squealed as he hugged her and hugged him back tightly, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "Oh Ger I missed you so so so so so so SO much," she cried leaning back to look at him, breaking out into a wide mischevious grin. "What did you bring me?" she teased, of course Ger was enough of a present for her
"Probably just friendly relations," he said off hand, looking over the menu, trying to see what to order.
He looked up and raised an eyebrow, "Oh don't worry about my money Pearline, I've got plenty. Go ahead and order whatever you would like."
It didn't even occur to him to tell her that the reason he was getting so much money was the fact he was working more than usual. But if that's what it took to be successful he would do that.
"Well..if your sure, I'm going to try and have to top this for your birthday mister," she grinned and reached into her purse, pulling out a few pictures of the kitten Gerard had bought Pearline for christmas.
"Look at a few of the pictures I took with Hera," she beamed with pride at the pictures, so proud and happy she finally had a pet. "I just thought I'd show you how big she's getting. She misses her Uncle Ger"
Gerard looked over the pictures and smiled at the kitten and Pearline. He was proud that he had finally gotten her the kitten she had wanted since they were children.
"She's very pretty and let her know that I miss her as well," he commented before looking at the next picture and laughing. "And she's growing there's no doubt about that."
Adrian wouldn't be tossing her kitten in a tree, that was for sure.
She sighed and looked over the menu, finally deciding on a cinnamon roll, a side of bacon and hot chocolate.
"Thanks for keeping your word Ger, it means a lot to me," she said with warmth in her eyes patting her brothers hand softly.
She looked at him and studied him carefuly, before asking "so surely there must be some new things going on in your life. Tell me what you have been up to since the end of Christmas hols when you dropped me off at the train station"
