I had to have my little toy poodle, Dolly, put to sleep today. She has been ill for several weeks and the Vet's blood tests revealed severe Kidney failure. The Vet advised that she was very unlikely to improve with treatment and it was kindest to have her euthansed

Oh sweetie, I remember you having to go through this before a few years back, I'm sorry it's had to happen again. Try hard to focus on how happy you made that little lady in the time she had left and how happy she made both of you. Our pets are part of our family and when something happens and we lose one, be it through death or the pet just being lost, it hurts like hell

I'm so sorry sweetie. We had to have one of our cats put down a few years ago, and I still think about him often. I know it hurts, but like Rune says, try to think of the love and kindness she benefitted from by being with you. xxx

i'm sorry to hear about dolly. it's so hard to lose a beloved family member. i only read you LJ enrty today, so i hope that you're feeling a little better by now. lots of strength and love, leila
