Oh sweetie, I remember you having to go through this before a few years back, I'm sorry it's had to happen again. Try hard to focus on how happy you made that little lady in the time she had left and how happy she made both of you. Our pets are part of our family and when something happens and we lose one, be it through death or the pet just being lost, it hurts like hell.

My beloved cat Jaz went missing two years ago - I've never quite gotten over her and I grieved for her as much as I have for some people I've lost. Then last year we lost one of our twin boy-kitties. It was heartrending and watching his brother wander around crying for him was awful. Nearly a year later and still he'll barely leave the house anymore.

After that I adopted a rescue cat. She had been found lying on the side of the road and was thought to be dead, the guy that found her nearly fainted when he went to move her body and she mewled up at him. She had a broken pelvis, broken tail and she was nearly gutted, she's lost quite a lot of scalp from her belly/tail area that won't grow back. To top that, because she's a pure white she got sunburned whilst lying by the road and she contracted bacterial cancer, meaning she had to have both her ear flaps amputated.

We have no idea if the cancer will come back, but I felt I just had to bring her home and try to give her as much love as I could and make her happy, if only for awhile. You can't let fear prevent you from sharing your love :)

Embrace your happy memories of her and be content knowing that she was much loved and you did your very best for her.
