Just clearing the way for it to go to the Supreme Court; there are several hurdles to jump over. It all started when the tenth court of appeals overturned a ban for some other state but they have jurisdiction over Kansas, too.
My state elected a far-right Tea Party, Koch Brothers horrorshow to replace a moderate Democrat in the Senate. So now we have a far-right Republican governor, both houses of the state legislature, most of the Representatives (including mine, the horrid Virginia Foxx for whom I did NOT vote), and both Senators. We are so screwed.
