Test strips almost certainly come in packs of 50 or 100.

And from interacting with college students, they spend *time* online, but lots of them aren't even remotely savy. I wonder if they were cell phone pics, which would take some fiddling to get into a single email? (Which they totally should've done, but it seems possible.)
