I just spent the last thirty minutes discussing Nanowrimo with a girl in work. I had been contemplating doing the "blog-post-a-day" alternative because even though I'd love to do the full-on challenge I don't think I have the dedication for a full 50k novel in 30 days... but, well, she may have talked me into it.

Dooooo it. :D It'll be fun. If you fail . . . well, no harm, and at least it got you writing. If you succeed, you feel even more awesome than usual. :D Win/win, IMHO.

Hmm, well, um, yeah I am considering it and I suppose it doesn't matter if I don't finish (except for the sense of abject and utter failure *g*).

Will just have to get my shit together by Saturday. ::mepp::

Yeah, I'm slowing allowing myself to realise that I can't not let myself do it.

Originally, I though I might try to write Our-Project-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named but 1) you can't co-write and 2) the challenge is about quantity not quality... now I just need to flesh out the paper-thin idea I have before signing up.

Fair warning? Much support and encouragement will be needed.

TPWSNBN which we could work on in four days but I'll be too busy hyperventilating and asking why, WHY you let me do this... ::sigh:: you never win, do you?

You should totally do it. I haven't made the leap from mini_nanowrimo to the big dog yet, but my experience this year might make that happen next year.

Yeah I'm preeetty decided that I'm doing it. Though this has happened very quickly for me. Usually I agonize for ages over what to do. Maybe not doing that this time is good ::ponders::

Oh mini_nanowrimo sounds interesting too... but I think I'm set on the full 50k now it's been planted in my brain.

Yeah, that's why if I can pass 40k (which is my personal goal) this year, I might try the big show next year. I almost made is last year, had 39,600 words for the month.
