Lovecraft has really gone downhill this week. I was hoping to wait until Saturday the 3rd or Monday the 5th of July to let him go, however, it's not happening

Do what you need to do. Take the time off from work if you have to. But yes, for the sake of both you and LC... I hope that B-bert or someone can go with you to provide support.
