We got three of them today too >< Complete idiots. Who'd be a Fiery, seriously? Those poor guys. How much would you want to strangle the bastards after a day like this? >
They should introduce conscription for the Volunteer Brigade, and make all arsonists serve a minimum of ten years. }:( Either that or my burning-down-their-house idea, which I actually prefer.
The utter idiocy of humanity never ceases to amaze me (though it really should have by now).
I shall inflict upon you one of my favorite Einstein quotes: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
Glad to hear your mom's birthday went well, and I sure hope those poor people don't lose their homes!
*snortles* Yes, that one always cracks me up. ;) My pal's Canadian boyfriend has it on a T-shirt (and happily used to point out how stupid it was to have it on a T-shirt in the first place!)
Of course, there was also a story on the news tonight about a bunch of people who'd turned up from a nearby suburb (well out of the fire's path) to help the residents of Olinda Grove when they heard the radio announcements. A tricky beast to predict, humanity. I just settle on calling it 'weeeeird' ;D
The winds died down around 6pm, thankfully, and no homes have been lost yet, so the fireys will spend all night tonight rushing to put it out before tomorrow (29 degrees, land gales). Poor sods.
(*is distracted all over again by the icon* XD XD)
Ahem. No. Where was I? Rage! That's right. Yes, I'm happy to report today that the poor old fireys got things under control around 3am last night, and they're all standing by today to make sure it doesn't flare up again. Haven't caught the firebugs, though. It's a shame, but they rarely do.
And just to give you a little taste of Tasmanian weather:

Why are people so fucking stupid?! GAH!!!
The people who light these fires should be forced to personally rebuild the houses that are destroyed. And have their own houses burnt down.
So sayeth I.
NNNNNGGGG!!!

And just to give you a little taste of Tasmanian weather:
Saturday: Showers, then fine. 20 degrees.
Sunday: Downpour, fierce winds. 15 degrees.
Monday: Showers, 17 degrees.
Tuesday: Fine, 18 degrees.
Wednesday: Land gales, 27 degrees.
Thursday: Land gales, 30 degrees.
Friday: Showers forecast, 20 degrees.
... I think Tasmania is a commitment-phobe.
Happy Thursday, hon ;D
