Oh, thank you, hon. That's so kind of you to say because I think I've had 'show, don't tell' running like a mantra through my head while I wrote, trying to describe everything, because of my writing classes. XD

This is so pretty. Barry is just the best stalker ever. I love how he doesn't even tell Roddy their on a date and he confuses him for a mouse. Roddy is so prickly and angry and just wonderfully Roddy in this. Their kisses were terribly yummy. And all the hints of Nick/Monroe simply made everything extra wonderful.

Thank you so much, love. Barry and Roddy are so different in every possible way (except that they're both pretty, mmmn) that they're incredibly fun to write. Barry's used to being right and getting spoiled. It never even occurred to him that Roddy might not be interested.

I tried to insert some bear mating habits into this, too; male bears are typically bullies to the females, until it's time to mate, and then they're actually sweet. They don't even want to consummate straightaway. They want to be with her, away from all rivals, and woo her (although, after they impregnate her, they leave, but mating-for-life is uncommon in most animals, so). Hence Barry being a little rough around the edges, but actually wanting to have dates and be Roddy's boyfriend. As for Monroe/Nick, I absolutely love when Monroe is protective of Roddy in fics, but of course Nick would be a little more evenhanded. :D

Basically, I'm enthralled with these two, Monroe/Nick, and this fandom. AND IT'S (MOSTLY) ALL YOUR FAULT. ♥

Well lets hope that once Barry's got Roddy in the sack he doesn't just run off and abandon him. Roddy would be heartbroken.

Also this was adorable! I love how puppy like Barry is and Roddy's snark. And the Monroe/Nick Little Red Riding Hood line a the end should not make me actually want to write something like that XD

Roddy will soon help Barry realize that Roddy isn't Bella and doesn't want an Edward. Barry's just used to staring at what he wants and sulking till his dad gets it for him and I really wanted to play with spoiled brat Barry, after we discussed his character on twitter. 'Twas fun. XD
