But back to the story: I think I can tell who gave Adam which gift because they're typical for the boys. I also liked that you mentioned Sam and Adam having something in common because of their experiences in the Cage. I really enjoyed the last part of the story with Michael. Their gestures weren't anything explicit which made the moment all the more special.
Now I think I'll have a look at that Adam love post. I have no idea how I could miss that!

I'm sure you're right about the gifts, they're not difficult to figure out. And I simply adore the idea of Sam and Adam bonding; it seems like the silver-lining of a particularly dark cloud. I'm also a total sap, so I prefer things like hand-holding, cuddling and butterfly kisses almost more than I do outright porn. It seems more meaningful, somehow.

And we all know Adam had good reason to believe all of that. I love the warmth in this story, how it hits the pressure points of the Winchester's hypocrisy on the head, but makes them come good because --
“Adam, buddy, we got three flavors of pie for you. That's epic, man. Don't fight it, for fuck's sake!”-- Now they can be brothers. Nothing says family like killing you with kindness until you're rolled out the door full on pie; this is what family should be, even if the Winchesters have to take the hits and the sacrifice, too.
