He hadn’t thought they’d siege the Green Room for him, he'd doubted that they would try to rescue him from Hell, and he certainly didn’t think they’d set this makeshift party up now.

And we all know Adam had good reason to believe all of that. I love the warmth in this story, how it hits the pressure points of the Winchester's hypocrisy on the head, but makes them come good because --

“Adam, buddy, we got three flavors of pie for you. That's epic, man. Don't fight it, for fuck's sake!”

-- Now they can be brothers. Nothing says family like killing you with kindness until you're rolled out the door full on pie; this is what family should be, even if the Winchesters have to take the hits and the sacrifice, too. Fond and exasperated Dean is precious.

My heart melted with glee when Cas turned up with the drinks to join in the celebrations. Adorable, wonderfully good friend, we miss you, Cas! He's so straight-faced and serious as he gives Adam his birthday blessing, you made me miss that otherworldly angel so much.

"I'm glad you're here." / "I'm glad I'm here, too." ♥____♥ Brothers being brothers. Give it back to us, Show. I adore this scene, I can't even tell you how much, between you and axilet, I'm compelled to write more about Sam and Adam now to join the festivities.

It is adorable that Michael and Adam share a special day because although Dean was the one made for Michael, this coincidence makes Michael and Adam seem like kismet (and his own personal dreamcatcher? That must be a nice change!).

A happy, easy, joyous day; this is just what I would have hoped for young Adam. Thank you for sharing this with us, love, it was wonderful! ♥

Dean was the first character I fell in love with, as adorable as I found S1!Sam, and when he's not being hypocritical, I still adore him. He has so many virtues, but the problem is, he's not the martyred saint Show tries to make him out to be. That's just not him. He's flawed, but I would love to see him be true to his character and engage in lovable bromance with both his brothers (if they let him).

I miss somber, naive Cas, too, and as much as I like both Godstiel and levia!Cas, I'd love for him to revert back to his usual self. Dean DID ask him not to change, after all. XDD

I don't get to write nearly enough Sam/Adam, which makes me sad because I think they'd actually have a better relationship that Dean/Adam. You should write more of them, too! Was Sam not utterly endearing in the premier? :D

When I first found out Saint Michael's Day was also September 29th, I was so intrigued. Knowing the writers, it probably wasn't even a coincidence, and I'd like to think that does give them a stronger bond, despite Dean being Michael's 'true' vessel. Adam loves his dreamcatcher. ♥
