Random plot bunny.

 Another of those plot bunnies that I'll never have to write. I feel like I could flow a novel out of this outline.

This feels oddly familiar.  I think I heard about a ST episode (next generation) because of the gender issues and stuff, but I don't think I ever saw it.

Heh. Besides a little ST movie-verse AU stuff, I haven't even had a sci-fi bunny in DECADES. It's so strange to have this idea pop into my head, almost fully formed.

Thanks. :) Trying to figure if I could keep it under 10,000 words or so (and thereby increase its chances of getting finished). It's been decades since I wrote more than a short fic of sci-fi. Arg, world-building (for two separate societies) and interacting them and....

But I still wanna do it.

I haven't written a space story (besides one small ST fic) in DECADES. But. But. I kinda wanna write this one. I think if I can figure how to keep it under 10,000 words I might be able to write it and finish it, if I don't get too fancy.

Arg, trying to talk myself into believing I'll have the time. If I start writing while Sami naps, and use TV time with the hubby to list my Etsy items, and if I can keep the fic around 10,000 words or so....

I really want to write it though. It's been decades since i wrote something long in sci-fi.
