Random plot bunny.

 Another of those plot bunnies that I'll never have to write. I feel like I could flow a novel out of this outline.

This feels oddly familiar.  I think I heard about a ST episode (next generation) because of the gender issues and stuff, but I don't think I ever saw it.

Sounds like a J2 version of some kind of combination of Cherryh's The Faded Sun trilogy and Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness -- which is to say, a fucking awesome story!!!! Seriously, I want to read this now. Hmmph.

That's reassuring to hear because I don't think I've read either of those. :)

Besides a little Star Trek fic I haven't written sci-fi since high school (we're talking 22 years or more).

That said, maybe if I could keep it around 10,000 words or so I could get it done...if I don't get too mired in extraneous information and keep it to the Jared/Jensen core. I could use the time while the baby naps to write and while I watch TV with the hubby to post my Etsy stuff. Hmmm.

My creativity is writing checks my free time can't cash. And the baby (I call her that, she's two now) has started not-napping lately. Hopefully that's a temporary trend. But I can try.
