I am overcome with many of the feelings on the soon-coming end of my show, (Smallville). So to help myself (and maybe some of you) through this, I propose a.........
The White Snakes Pillow is crunched beneath Lois' head as she hugs her knees to her chest, and even though her eyes are shut, Tess is still unsure as to whether or not she is truly sleeping.
"Lois?" she whispers, or means to, but the word catches in her throat and she only mouthes it instead. Lois.
Tess straightens slightly, reclaiming her indominable poise which so often seems to abandon her whenever Lois is around, and walks towards the couch. "Lois." This time she says the word, strong and confident, as though the very sound of that name doesn't shatter her.
Lois opens her eyes, blinking up at Tess. "They're not back yet." It's not a question.
"No."
Tess sees the hope in those hazel eyes waver, spilling towards despair. "They will be," she says, trying to convince herself. "He will be

I loved this. I loved this so much. Tess is so complicated and I want and love to think that her feelings for both Clark and Lois are complicated, and so hard to unravel. I like what you did here, this glimpse into those three weeks.

I really enjoyed this. I have been wanting to read fanfic about them since Fortune aired so I'm glad you gave me that chance.
I really loved that you wrote from Tess' point of view because I could actually see her being nervous & out of sorts that way. I've always gotten the impression that her relationships for the most part were based on sex & power. While she did seem to have more with Oliver,he did end up cheating on her & I think that betrayal contributed to the type of relationships she has with men now. I actually wish we could see her in a healthy relationship on the show, but since that won't be happening, I'll pretend this is canon.
