I feel that way too, F!Simon is hiding something, whether he's to blame or not, I'm worried.
Oh, yeah, the guy who plays Curtis, I feel sorry for him almost --- I hope that we get to see him with that girl more, and maybe his acting will grow a little more compelling. The girl interests me though, whoever the actress is, she's made more of an impact than Curtis has in eight episodes with about five lines of dialogue.
I wish American TV would take lessons to be honest. They don't even have to show anything as graphic but there's that great realism, as you're saying, that you often don't get in US television with all the gloss, and epic soundtracks that obscure intimacy, and perfect lighting, and just it's such a different feel.
YES, I didn't think of it that way, but 'reverse reflection' is a perfect way to phrase it.
Tattoo guy was also quite convincingly creepy. Oh Nathan kills me too much. Agreed on 'Nelly'.
So like, you kept mentioning Misfits on your LJ and I've been ignoring your entries b/c 1) It's the holidays and I shouldn't be on the net so much 2) b/c I hadn't caught up on anything and didn't want to be spoiled.
Anywho, I made it the first thing on my catch up list and IT WAS AMAZING! I did not expect the Simon/Alisha bit ZOMG I hope you're worrying for nothing b/c I love Future!Simon. I love that this show has a bit of everything. It's funny, it's sweet, has action...man you can't go wrong. I wish misfits had a screencap gallery b/c I'm dieing to make icons of this episode.

But I hope your artistic self is inspired because I think you'd slay all of us with all the fanmixes and icons etc. Simon/Alisha BLEW me away, I'm so obsessed, it's almost embarrassing. And I really hope F!Simon isn't a bad man, I will cry.

Speaking of peanuts I was SUPER happy when Simon threw the peanut in that guys mouth half way across the room. It made the airplane that he hit Kelly w/okay (my mind works in mysterious ways).

Skins is great, but I couldn't bring myself to watch after the first generation left. I know people say that the second gen are good too, but I found it so hard to let go of Tony, Sid, and all the others that I didn't even want to bother. I told myself I would watch them one day.
Hm, then I'll definitely try to pick up the first generation. It sounds similar to Degrassi, but miles better, and I know a lot of folks who hated the generations of Degrassi that came after the first.
The concept of Skins just sounds so cool. So hopefully this Christmas when I'm snowbound I'll be able to get started.
