So, question. If Natasha knew the Winter Soldier, wouldn't she also know what he looks/looked like, so she'd be able to help a little? Or is he one of those masters-of-disguise guys? And how does she know him? (I am not up on Avengers mythology, so perhaps this is general knowledge.)
The plot is thickening and I love it. More, please!

Okay, so -- what they didn't tell you in the movie was that Natasha is a Russian attempt at making another Steve. She was one of several children taken and trained in The Red Rooms in the USSR to become super soldier/spy/assassins. She operated for years as The Black Widow before Hawkeye changed her life. Ahem.
I need to go back and comment on the rest of the fics in this series (because, clearly, I suck), but yeah. This makes me happy. (Because I've sorta kinda become obsessed recently, and having a source of quality fic is always a good thing. :D)
Anyway...
Yay for Coulson being alive! And Darcy! (And did I see this will be Steve/Darcy in addition to the obvious Tony/Pepper? Because, um, I kind of ship them hard)
I really feel like I need to brush up on the comic-verse backstory, because I don't know it and I know I'm missing things (although I had picked up on the stuff about The Winter Soldier from my trawling through fic).
Can't wait to read more!

Extra Credit, by Jadzia Bear
One of several "Darcy is charged with catching Steve up with the 21st century and they fall in love" fics, but it's so well done that it's worth the read. This author's other stuff is not my cup of tea, but this fic is very good.
The Five Minutes Longer Series by meinterrupted
In which Darcy is an awesome modern woman with a truly fantastic taser, and Steve and the rest of the team learn to appreciate that fic.
Skipping by missmissa85 (incomplete)
One of my favorite chaptered stories. Darcy finds out that Steve "skipped" several decades in trying to get caught up, and rectifies that. Although, really, it sort of morphs into a bunch of team-related one shots and general awesomeness with a plot that develops towards the end. Good stuff.
