Stuff!

Happy Mothers Day, Moms on Ye Olde Flist! I'm thinking especially of those of you for whom this will be your first Mother's Day ever as an actual Mom. Blessings and restful days to all of you. azriona, I am thinking of you also, because I spend all day with boys just a little bit older than yours, and... you could use blessings and a restful day, too!

Stuff under here about writing and blah blah blah, does anyone actually read this stuff? )

leaven of malice, real life, work, the fam: bro, writing

Well, I'm kinda talking to you and catching up on lj at the same time, lol. Good luck with the apartment and move and stuff -- sounds like a good plan all the way around.

*cheers*

Congrats and good luck with everything! I've been a bit absent in places, but I'm glad things are going well for you!

I DEFINITELY need to go back and read what you've posted, now that I feel I can actually read something again!

I have been in sort of the same place you are now and believe me, I do not blame you for the absenteeism!

I hope if you do, you find that you enjoy reading the stuff I've been posting!

You aren't allowed to be discouraged until you have been rejected over 100 times. And are you in a writing group? It's a great way to shortcut this process.

Also, Dollar Tree. Shower things. You can get cute for less, believe me.

LOL, this is what I'm telling myself as I prepare this week's batch of queries.

Thanks for the advice! We're rounding up the last of Ye Olde Party supplies this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Thank you! :)

I always forget how relieved parents are to hear that, you know... three doesn't last forever and the challenges that drive you crazy now won't be around in two or three years

I keep telling myself that. Sometimes I listen.

Oooo, querying is exciting. What I found interesting was that I didn't mind the rejections so much, either - particularly because a lot of them were form-letter type rejections, so I could soothe my wounds by saying that they hadn't actually read my story, and thus they weren't not-liking me, but simply commenting on the fact that they had way too many submissions. Well, it sounded good at the time!

Ain't being the parent of a toddler fun? :P (I know it is, but it sure as heck isn't easy.)

LOL! I have been enjoying the querying process, yes. I'm just afraid that no one's going to be interested in yet another vampire story. Oh wellsies!
