This is pretty much how I expect it to go -- I think Booth needs to acknowledge how broken HE is before he can ever get in a relationship that will work (with Brennan, obvs.).

Yeah -- he's stoic to the point of it being seriously unhealthy. Sometimes, in order to heal, we have to acknowledge that we are hurt in the first place. Booth really needs to come to grips with everything that has happened to him.
