Ohhhh my heart! This is pretty much perfection. I think you've really nailed Booth's state of mind, and I hope the show continues to get that across, because he deserves that attention.

Terrific piece. It just leaks bitter, and that's pretty much what Booth would likely do after the night he had. On another note, it's great to see that you found something inspiring in Bones again. I have missed your fic.

Yeah -- there was a dark period there when I wasn't sure I would survive Hannah-gate. But I seem to be okay now that they're through cocking up my show. At least for now.

I even opened Scarecrow the other night, so you never know!

Love love love you. and this.

I am still kinda breathless and wordless, babe.

This is it. This is Booth... broken sad angry and shattered and you got it.... You wrote it jst as I see him.

I KNOW i have told you this before BUT you have a huge talent, honey. It shines out.

Because fuck if he didn't make himself a better man

This right here... yah.. the bitterness, the But dammit God, Life, Y'all, I made myself better? why cant I be happy??? You nailed it. Perfection, honey. Perfect.

He's been waiting for that magic moment - that moment when someone will see. Someone will tell him it's okay, and in the quiet of the night, lay their body over his and say “I'm never going to leave.”

And mean it.

He's waiting for someone to make the pain worth it. Someone who makes bruised ribs and broken bones worth it. Someone who sees his sacrifice and acknowledges it.
This is pretty much just more perfection.. I cried reading this, I couldn't help it. This is Booth. Raw and wanting, and needy and hurt and angry and so goddamn sad ( ... )
