This is beautifully written, and this is a fascinating concept, especially given Seeley's religious background. I look forward to more of this!

I'm so glad you're enjoying this. I'm working on the next section, which will bring Brennan up to the same point! Thank you very much for your review.

Oh, this really was very pretty. You've captured Booth's life and character's honestly. Fantastic.

For me, I think Booth is the perfect example of a Catholic in self-sentenced Purgatory (which is a state of being rather than a place, in which you are purified to enter heaven). He's definitely striving to be a better person in order to be good enough for her. He gives up gambling, he softens to her as much as she softens to him. If God is Love, and I believe He is, then between the two of them they've got a Love so strong I think Booth must see God everyday in her.

Anyway. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Thank you for a wonderful comment!

This is phenomenal...the steps in the prayer, the reflections, his struggles, his self-recriminations...the priest's advice and attempts to help him forgive himself for all that he holds himself to such a high standard...then the end, him coming back from the dream where he is kinder to himself, and coming back to her, for her, although he doesn't get to be with her (yet?) here. Gorgeous. Just...beautifully done.
