A Very Important Inquiry, at least by my estimation.

Imagine with me, oh trusty flist. Imagine that you work at a job that is moderately corporate, but in a hip, fun kind of way. Imagine further that this job requires you spend seven to eight hours a day, five days a week on your feet. You also have a bad ankle that makes "cute" shoes difficult. You also have a specific t-shirt provided by the ( Read more... )

Do not wear flip flops that are slightly raised. It will kill your feet. I suggest searching for shoes that are similar to sneakers. I never recommend flip flops. They hurt my feet and chafe the skin between my toes. You should get ones that aren't thongs.

For whatever reason, flip flops (at least good ones that have decent support and stuff and are actually flat and not platforms or whatever) are the most comfortable shoes for me. But I only ever get the ones that are well constructed enough to not have seams in places that will chafe and stuff. I wish I could find something that was a bit more professional looking but still comfy, but I can't seem to that aren't totally frumpy too.

I'd need to see a picture of the shoes in question, of course, but I can safely recommend jean skirts in decent lengths (i.e. hovering around the knee).

footprints.com - they sell shoes that are cute and have good support. (Look in the clearance file first--cheep!) I bought shoes from these folks for the past 25 years while doing massage. Flat sandals may seem good now, but they'll play hell with your feet and lower back in 5-10 years time.

Glad you like your job, though!

I love Crocs-so comfy! The company, in a flash of genius, has realized that not everyone can wear neon colors. They have now got shoes for ordinary people!http://shop.crocs.com/c-4-Footwear.aspx?reqid=4&reqProdTypeId=4&subsectionname=footwear. I have two pairs of "Alice" but a lot of the others look very good!
