Reason #427,235,998.7 why I want to leave Oklahoma. (Yeah, I know you'll find the following attitude pretty much everywhere, but it practically drips down the walls here.) Just got this email from a co-worker:

School is closed tomorrow! Work too!

I smell a day curled up under the blankets with my laptop and junk food. :D

And probably the ice pack strapped to my knee, too. Still twinging and has a sizable bump. If it's still like this in the morning, then even more reason to be grateful I don't have anywhere to be. :)

Oklahoma's getting slammed by our absolute faaaaaavorite wintertime pal: an ice storm. The Governor's officially OK'd it for non-essential state employees (aka: moi) to go home at 1:00, because the roads EVERYWHERE have turned to absolute shit.

Each office in our wing clearly indicates, with ~*shiny*~ brass plates next to their door in big capital letters, exactly which specific program that office does.
