Thanks to the lovely zorb, I are now officially on Dreamwidth! Not a lot there yet, and barring some unforeseen circumstance I don't see myself completely relocating, but, more or less like abigail89 said: no one else gets to be ladyaeryn but me, dammit. ;) I am probably going to have to cave and upgrade at some point, 'cause good lord, six icons

Abnormal psych is so awesome- I was disappointed when that one ended for me as well. :)

Oh man- Jaw correction surgery! *shivers*

My Gosh! What happened that you need all this dental work and jaw correction?

This is worse than what I went through as a kid.

I've had my underbite since birth and have always had crooked teeth. The bad teeth... while neither of my parents had great teeth to begin with, the severity of the damage is largely my own fault, as I've been waaay too lax with dental hygiene and waaay too lovin' with the Coke for 26 years. Many of them are ground down thanks to the underbite, or chipped/broken/decaying. And the crooked teeth only worsens the misalignment of my jaw - there are several places in my mouth where my top and bottom teeth don't even touch.

So I basically need temporary crowns on all my teeth, just so my teeth will be at a point where I can actually wear braces - then it's those for a couple of years, then the surgery, then finally replacing all the temporary crowns with permanents. Dentures aren't really an option because of the severity of my underbite, which is only going to get more pronounced with age; the only way to really fix it is to go in with the surgery and cut out some of my jawbone and then push it back so my jaws finally align right
