I'm actually pretty impressed by your character voices, actually. Most of them I got after as little as one sentence. The only one, I think, that took me a little longer was D'Argo. The sentiments were right for him, but I couldn't hear them in his voice as easily as the others. I was also unsure about Crais, for exactly the opposite reason. I definitely heard it in his voice, after a sentence or two, but I didn't see too many unambiguous cues to confirm that I ws right, and was unsure what the "certain memories" thing referred to.

That's okay, he was doing that "switch from poet to frat boy" thing that always throws me in the series and only Anthony really makes work.

I was also unsure about Crais, for exactly the opposite reason. I definitely heard it in his voice, after a sentence or two, but I didn't see too many unambiguous cues to confirm that I ws right, and was unsure what the "certain memories" thing referred to.

....in that case... I frelled up. Because Ah yes - I did wonder if they were… involved. She was very protective of him, on the one occasion I encountered them together - and then of course after she died he would speak of nothing but her, though he seemed to transfer his feelings for her onto Aeryn, and develop a most unhealthy obsession ( ... )

D'oh! I did get that, actually. In fact, the Scorpy voice was very strong. But, um, somehow when I looked back over the story to figure out which bit it was that actually confused me I, uh, skimmed quickly, somehow looked at the wrong one, and went, "Oh, yeah, that was the bit I wasn't sure about." I think because it somehow flew over my head when I first read the Scorpy bit that he was, you know, talking about memories he'd seen in the Aurora Chair. I'm not sure why, in retrospect, except that I'd probably assumed he'd never actually got any memories out of Stark, so I wasn't sure what it was referring to.

So, um, I'm the one who should be going "*facepalm*," because it was my comment that was frelled up, not your writing. That's what I get, I think, for reading something, waiting, then coming back to comment and trying to remember what I was going to say. *rolls eyes ( ... )

Ah! Okay then, I am much releived. As for Crais not having anything "confirming" it was him - that's kinda what the reference to Valldon was for.

And yay! An excuse to use my Crais icon. I LOVE my Crais icon. ^_^
