Jesse and I were talking about all the crazy things my parents did, and she says, "Hey, when we have kids, let's make more sense than your parents, okay?" Me: "Yes, let's!"

So yeah, the thing was that the lady quoted us the yearly salary as if we had been working full time for John. And it's hourly, and we're only working parttime, so it wasn't as much as I thought. Never mind, the salary thing was a fluke. I will instead be getting less than before, after taxes. This day has gone from great to good to bad to worse. More details later.
