Woo-hoo! It's late at night (well, early in the morning), and I'm trying to finish up my stargate atlantis fanfic and have hit major writer's block. Who would have thought writing a death scene would be so hard (bwaahaahahaaa

I <3 the Giver. It's been years since I've read it.
I've never read Ivanhoe, mainly because I never knew what it was about. Judging by the name, I kept thinking it was some sort of 'Viking story' or something....
You've got to tell me if you know anything about this. There's this lady at karate (Barbara, if she was even there when you were) who takes all the very interesting views of life (such as herbal medicines, electroshock stuff for muscle pain, and all the opposite views of history) who swears that the Celts invaded and lived peacefully among the Chinese a gazillion years ago, and that they've found all the archaeological evidence to back it up...She and Steve always get into arguments about that (not that it should concern him, since he's Filipino and not Chinese, whatever he says!) and he swears that since he was almost a history teacher, he knows more than her that that there were never Celts in China
( ... )
According to my book, the Celts did at least trade with China. They believe this because they found some Celtic skeleton wearing Chinese silk. Whether they lived there or not, I don't know. But from what I've read the Celts were a pretty far-flung people and it wouldn't surprise me if a small group did go to China. (and yes, I just woke up about an hour ago.=D)
Ummm...rock on Celts? A little birdie told me that your new room next week may just be decorated with a flag from Eire. :) Don't know though; birds can lie.
Fine by me. I love anything Great Britain, even though i'm more partial to Scottish and English. Ireland's great though, especially now that I know more about it. (did you know that Scotland was settled by an Irish Celtic tribe called the *Scotti*?)
