Everyone into bunker now...

I go back to work on Monday. I have a couple weeks of pre-planning and new teacher orientation to do before school starts on Aug. 13th. I'm viewing my third year of teaching with an odd mix of excitement and dread. Excitement, because I truly do love my job and I like everyone I've talked to at my new school very much. Yay for being excited about school again! I'm hoping I have a good class, but I know it has to be better than last year. Plus, I work for two weeks, then I'm off 'til after Thanksgiving. *grins* can't be all bad, right? ;)

The notebooks look like a great idea, too. Good thinking!

My trick with quick dinners is stuff like a bag of stir fry (at Kroger, $5 and it takes a whopping 20 minutes 'til you can eat it), taco kits (take about 15 minutes), pasta... My rule during the work week is 20 minutes 'til it's on the table. I don't have the time or the patience for anything more involved than that. LOL

You get good quality cuts of meat and essentially prepare 12 meals in 2 hours...it is wonderful! I probably should check out the menu for selections (you dont have to pick in advance - I just like having ideas of what I want in my head) and go there myself in the next week or two...should be especially helpful after the baby comes! LOL

Good luck this year - I have heard pretty good things about the interactive notebook - let me know how that goes!

Yeah cooking in bulk will be awesome for you. What I do is I cook every Saturday or Sunday for the week. Soups are my best friend. I friggin' LOVE soups and they're easy to cook and they're all cooked in bulk. And they only take a few minutes to re-heat even over the stove. I generally post my favorite recipes over on my recipe community if you wanna check any of them out. ambrosiaforguen
