I attended my first Hypericon this weekend, which was also hosting the 46th DeepSouthCon, which is a roaming con that can be located anywhere in the south east. We went there, both to promote JordanCon, to network with other convention organizers and also because this is our idea of a romantic weekend getaway. -Pre-con Stress and no Jimmy around at night make me not sleep well.

Only five are more senior than me this year. Though I do suspect that I'm younger than most of them. I'm definitely not the youngest track Director anymore though. I was for several years though.

The majority of subscribers to the DragonCon LJ community believe that the senior directors make all space allocations by throwing darts at a wall each and hoping for the best.

I've always felt a strange affinity for Hilliary that goes beyond politics. This is a woman that I "get". I think this article sums up why. Everyone complains about how cold and unlikable she is, that she comes off as aggressive. So do I, when I'm in a leadership position. It was also interesting sitting on a panel for another track. I don't normally visit other tracks, so I experienced quite a bit of culture shock visiting the Fantasy Lit track.
