The book with my short story in it just came into the store, I'm quite excited. It's not a terribly good story, but it's cool to have something published in a book, all the same. I read at the book launch on wednesday, I'm nervous.

So. Good and bad things. Good: I met a beautifull greek bartender and I haven't had a crush this strong on someone in a long time. Even better, he likes me too. Bad: I leave today. Well that was fun but I'm feeling rather fragile today, certainly. I hope nat and tara managed okay, I felt bad for leaving them there but I wasn't in much of a state to help anything anyway. I dread the prospect of any pictures that may come out of it.

I spent today at the Musee D'Orsay, the impressionist museum in Paris. I HATE TOURISTS. I don't mean just travellers, I'm a traveller, but real tourists, usually from either Japan or the U.S.A. I'm back in town on monday. It's okay, cause I leave 17 days later for Greece. It'll be nice to have a decent shower and then sleep in my own bed. I want to see lots of all of you for those two and a half weeks before I leave, which should be easy cause I'm not going to be working at all. Um. Anyone wanna come count sea turtles with me?

Im in Tours. The keyboards are odd so Ill be brief. im happy but lonely and i want to stay here but to trade in my family for you people. the sights are indesribable. the food is fantastic if you dont mind a lot of bread and cheese. people in Tours are nicer than in paris. I speak very good french now. i miss my cat

So I'm in Paris, staying in the apartment of friends of friends, people we've never met. They're apperantly emmensly rich, and utterly tasteless. It's sort of astonishing, I've never in my life seen so much godawful art in one place. I'm in london. It's rainy but I love it it feels like home I don't want to leave even to go to Paris but the keyboards are funny here.
