Mmm... can't you contact the system administator at your hosters place? I know it's possible to tune server so it won't accept all the download attempts to your files if they don't have a referrer from http://lacrima_e.livejournal.com (I can't tell more details on what is referrer and how it works in English - if some of you are russian-speaking, we could contact over icq\e-mail and discuss that point, but your hosters support knows it better anyway\

and btw - pleeeease, no sendspace or megaupload ;___; these fucking services think that everyone in Eastern Europe are uber-people, and we really don't need the files uploaded
But you're rotating too tasty things to miss them -_____-

There actually might be a way to do that, allowing dls only through this lj. I'll have to go through my admin panel and see what they offer. Thanks for the advice, since that might just work.

and honestly, I'd rather not upload to sendspace or megaupload just because they are not userfriendly for everyone, and I don't think thats fair to all the members.

I promise that MU or Sendspace will only be the last resort. ^^

Awww.. Honey I'm so sorry about this >_>
It's like no matter how many times you nag at them, they still keep on doing it. Seriously, what is the matter with some people !

I hope you can find a way to resolve this *hugs*

What the hell? That's so stupid how people hotlinking, especially when it's probably quite obvious that the links aren't theirs. What do they gain by doing that? Aside from your angry self on their asses. Hopefully they get the message and stop posting your links.

I know...its really, really obvious to me about hotliking, yet I have people asking me questions about it all the time. Maybe I shouldn't take for granted that people know what hotlinking is and just define it in terms that is understandable then.

and yes, the issue is resolved. Someone was kind enough to translate a message into Spanish for me, and the links were removed...
