Tonight is Opening Night for Pericles, so it's time for an overview post of the work that came through the Costume Crafts department on this show! This post doesn't include every single item we worked on, but it does cover quite a few

That is an impressive wig- hat arrangement. Looks amazing on. I was close to biting my nails before too! Also such a great trick about the loopy head- dress being on a wire frame. Nearly invisable, but easy to use. The ombre effect was delicate and well done..

Wow! Gorgeous stuff. I especially love the Antiochus' Daughter headdress and the Thaisa ombre dyeing.

Wow, I'll have to look up the shibori process -- that is AMAZING, depth of color. Thank you so much for sharing. I've a friend who costumes at Berkeley Rep (CA), and they did Argonautika last year, but I think your costumes were even better! Shhhh, don't tell them!

Our theatre has a small gallery just off the lobby area, as well as some display cases--sometimes some of the costumes go into those for extended display, yes! (Right now, for example, there's a dress from Amadeus and some masks in them.)
