For those who have read the contemporary (alternate world) paranormal romance series, 'Guild Hunters' by Nalini Singh, this is my photoshop interpretation of the Archangel Raphael.  (The original is from the cover of the novel, "Sea Change" by Darlene Marshall.)

I'd be interested to know how you like the book(s). I'll admit I've actually reread the first three books already. I don't think I'll reread the fourth book. It was arguably the best of the series so far, but so heart-wrenching (then ultimately redemptive) I don't know if I can read it again. I'm a bit of a marshmallow.8-/

Is it like the Hunger Games? That kind of heart wrenching?

Haven't read "The Hunger Games". I've been interested in what that series is about (but my "to be read" pile is hundreds so I didn't investigate).

The sad parts in Book 4 are flashbacks to long ago tragedies in the life of an immortal (and incredibly hot and intelligent) vampire.

Show me a pic of how you see Rafael. I'd love to see a general impression of him in your mind.

The second eye is in shadow in the original and I'm not an artist, so I had to use what was there. Rafael's inhuman blue eyes took me awhile and even then they likely don't do the character justice.

Yes, I saw your review on Goodreads. It was one reason I decided to post this. 8-)

LOL, which long tedious vampire novel are you reading?

That's a big 'to read' pile! I can understand.

I'll get one tomorrow and see how it is.

In the books, the Archangel Raphael's eyes are presented as an inhuman, compelling blue and they change shades of blue based on his emotions. It is one of his extraordinary characteristics. So I guess you are reacting to the eyes the way the novel describes them. I love Photoshop.

Oh dear, those eyes, and that long hair! I'm a sucker for this sort of thing, and my boy used to have such lovely shoulder-length blond hair (oh how I wish I could see him like that! I do really wish I knew him back when he was at school!) Oh sorry! Rambling! ;-)
